PNC Bank N.A. Credit Card Complaint

Balance transfer

PNC Bank N.A. Credit card department,

Balance transfer Illinois

I called PNC Bank which I had an existing credit card account with to find out if I had any balance transfer offers. I was told I had a 0 % offer so I made the balance transfer of around $10000.00. Turns out the offer was only 0 % for purchases and was actually 17 % interest on balance transfers. They also charged - or - % balance transfer fee. Once I found out that it was 17 % I soon after paid the whole balance to avoid further damage to my finances. This was a couple months after I opened the account. Still I incurred over $700.00 in interest and fees. PNC says they ca n't find any recording of me discussing the interest rate. But if I have the money to pay off the card why would I want to have a 17 % interest rate? Ironically PNC bank is now sending me offers for 0 % balance transfers.

if the OCC was the correct department to complain to. I would like for PNC bank to be required to research this issue and at least provide a written explanation of why they will not refund the interest that I clearly was misled into being charged. Thank you, - -
