This is in regards to case -. I 'm fighting First Hawaiian Bank, they are looking for unjust compensation for a mistake one of their younger representatives made by releasing to me money from an uncleared check. A check that totaled $2600.00. The FHB policy states that I should have only been given $200.00 of the $2600.00 until the check had cleared. It never did, but that did n't stop their unprofessional and obviously unaware staff from releasing to me ALL the money THE DAY OF. It also seems that the ambassador FHB had chosen to dispute my last response on the CFPB website had n't done their research either. I had an overdraft fee almost every month I had been a member of their bank. But why would they withhold and deny me that information? I am disputing this, I have received letters from collection companies sent to my address harassing me to pay. I will not be held responsible for a mistake THEY made. I was handed money that should n't have yet existed until it had been verified. I refuse to be bullied and taken for by a bank that could have easily AVOIDED this problem. First Hawaiian Bank could have just as easily prevented this.
