Wells Fargo Credit card department,
During a time of hardship, I reached out to my credit card company, Wells Fargo, to see if they could offer any assistance. I was referred to the collections department. Under advisement of the rep, the program entailed closing the account down and being put on a payment plan. They stated that I would have - percent interest to help me through the hardship, which I agreed to do. Months later, I find out that they never honored the - percent APR and gave me - instead. Calling Wells Fargo back to have the matter corrected, they avidly denied ever offering me the - percent and when asked if they could review their recordings, there were none available for that recording ( conveniently ). I am well aware that the collections department did help lower my interest from the original amount, but the reason I agreed to shut down the card was because of the - percent interest. They blatantly lied to me and now there are no notations or recordings to substantiate the conversation.
