Barclays Credit card department,
- - closed my - American Express Card for no apparent reason. I use it mostly at grocery stores and -. I pay it in full about every 2 weeks. I have never had a late payment. On - -, I finally reached the - level of - rewards that I was working toward ( because they double in value at this point ), and that is the date they shut the account down and removed all the reward points. They can give me no reason except my " history of account usage. '' I have gone over the account with a fine-toothed comb and can find nothing. I worked to earn those points and abided by their cardmember agreements. The points are worth $400.00 ( - statement of benefits : Receive a $400.00 statement credit on eligible - purchases by redeeming - - Points ). It feels like they simply did n't want to honor the rewards I earned. And they do n't even have to give me a reason? Surely there is something that can be done. A statement credit for the $400.00? This is n't right. Thank you for any help.
