I had requested a copy of my Lexis Nexis report as I was informed by my former employer of a security breach. I proceeded to opt out of Lexis Nexis databases as a precautionary measure recommended by my former employer. They also requested I freeze all my credit reports. I have been successfully freezing my credit report at -. However, Lexis Nexis would n't freeze my file saying it is n't reqiuired in the state of Georgia. Lexis Nexis is a credit reporting agency as outlined by state of Georgia laws and the CFPB. In the report they sent to me included - pages that clearly states Georgia residents have the right to freeze the credit reports.
