Cashing a check without an account Deposits and withdrawals Indiana

I have a Chase business checking account. I paid a young couple for - - dollars by check on that account. When they cashed my check at my Chase bank they were charged - dollars for using my money. This kind of banking targets those in our society who can least afford it and who probably least understand this kind of banking. Actually I do not understand how my bank can profit off my money. I am sure this is " legal '' it is not moral.
