Other bank product/service Using a debit or ATM card New York
someone pretending to be my daughter filed a claim with chase bank that they were missing money and so chase made a deposit not once but several times to her account. The perpetrator withdrew the money from her account by using an ATM card as well as using a withdrawal slip inside of a branch. Chase is holding me responsible since its a high school account and has transferred my money to offset the negative balance in my daughter 's account. I have called numerous times and so did my daughter to let chase know that we did not make these withdrawals or claims that money was missing. All we wanted to get across was that someone hacked into or stole my daughter 's identity and was stealing from chase. no one would listen to us at chase and they have since severed all relationship with my daughter and myself. I am left with $0.00 balance just 4 days before - and chase has done nothing to investigate who is responsible for these transactions. I have asked for them to pull the video tapes from the ATMs and branches where these transactions took place. I need for chase to reimburse my money and apologize for their action not to investigate our claims that something was not right with the account.
