Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low
Wells Fargo Bank account or service department,
Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low Kansas
I have - debit card transactions that occurred a day prior to an ATM withdrawal ( ATM withdrawal resulted in an overdraft of the account ). However, the ATM withdrawal ( which occurred a day after the debit transactions ) posted to the account before the - debit card transactions, so instead of an overdraft fee ( $35.00 ) for the ATM withdrawal I received - overdraft fees ( $140.00 ). - for the withdrawal and - for each of the debit transactions. I called the bank ( Wells Fargo ) and spoke with a customer service agent and then a supervisor ( - - ). The supervisor repeatedly refused to provide contact info for his manager, or anyone above him, and repeatedly stated " We are all going to tell you the same thing ''. He eventually transferred me to a department so I could " file a complaint '', but when transferred I was asked to enter an extension from the directory and the line disconnected. I was given no such information from the supervisor who transferred me.
not apply. Which raises another concern. The supervisor I spoke with notified me that all three of the transactions were listed as " Credit '' and not " Debit ''. - of these transactions are from a market right across the street from my employer. I visit this place almost daily and I ALWAYS select " Debit '' and enter my PIN. There is absolutely no chance that I accidentally ran it as credit. So the second component of my complaint is that assured " Debit '' transactions are showing up as " Credit '' transactions once processed. I have been told by multiple agents ( Wells Fargo customer service ) over the years that as long as I run the transaction as " Debit '' the funds will come out of my account immediately ( If ran as credit there is a valid delay in posting, depending on the merchant ). I have an inclination that the supervisor I spoke with may have been misleading about my transactions posting as " Credit '' in order to give a reason why the fees were valid, but I have no evidence or documentation to confirm this. To summarize, my bank has issued - overdraft fees ( $35.00 each ) based on the posting order of items. However, - of the transactions were made when there were sufficient funds in the account. And further, the transaction that caused the overdraft occurred a day after the other transactions. I know my fees are relatively low for filing a formal complaint, but I tried contacting the bank for assistance and feel I have nowhere else to turn. Thank you. I called Wells Fargo on -/-/2015, approx. - CST. The name I was given of the supervisor is - -.
