I called Honda - on -, spoke with a lady named -, requested the full payoff amount for my lease/loan. I was given the same amount that appears on my online statement. I paid $22000.00 in full immediately following the call checked on - and the assessed - in tax fees. When you call for a payoff that is the amount you owe, should be nothing more. This is unbelievable practices by Honda. From my understanding taxes are included in the lease payment, so where did this come from and how can these dealerships/finance companies continue to do this to the consumer. Secondly, we moved from - to - - and Honda changed our car payment ( increased it due to taxes ) without any notice to us, just took the money out of our account. Same happened again when we moved to -, fortunately the amount was lower this time, but still no written notice of any kind. Something has to be done about taking advantage of the consumer.
