I had a credit card from - - ( credit provided by - - ) that I paid and closed back in - 2013. I 've been contacted over the last year by Portfolio Collections claiming I owe - for this same account in the amount of $420.00. I provided proof 3x ( copies of my credit report with identical account numbers reflect Paid & Closed ). They still refused to remove the collection from my credit report. They claim that - is saying it 's valid. But when I contacted - they tell me they never had any communication with the collection agency that has the account. I have going back and forth for almost a year trying to get this removed and so far no luck.
