Credit card Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt resulted from identity theft Kansas

The Merchant Home Depot and Citibank N.A., according to the debt collecter, - - -, -, sold them the debt. I never received a bill from The Home Depot or Citibank. When I asked the debt collector what it was I bought, they could not provide that information. When I asked them to provide my signatures on the CC slip, they could not provide that either. The representative told me that I set up the account without knowing it. What really hurt me is that the debt shows bad on my credit report. Therefore, they probably have my social security #. I know they at least have the last -. They have called my house also to try to collect the debt.
