Our couple has had a checking account with JP Morgan Chase and several credit cards for over 40 years. Our home address was a - - ( JP M Chase has held the mortgage for the last twelve years of its 30 year life ). We were ask for a physical address which we did not have until recently. Being abroad very, very often we called the branch to give the address early -. The account manager being busy we gave it to another person. A few weeks later we got the same request. We called again and this time asked for an email address of the bank officer. We got it and had an exchange of email where we sent the physical address. We received another letter in - which got to us in - as we were abroad and called the call center again to give the address for the fourth tim. In - the bank closed our account alleging that we had not sent the address. Which we did and can prove with the copy of the email. The said officer has supposedly left the bank ... Our - accounts were closed ( savings and checking ). checks were sent. But all history has been eliminated from our internet connection to the bank. payments made through the accounts before we knew of its closure were rejected creating poor credit and expenses ( bounced payments and late payments ). We were in - at the time and it took many hours of work to be able to get back to a situation where we could honour our due payments. ALL THIS BECAUSE THE BANK FAILED TO DO ITS JOB
