Checking account Making/receiving payments, sending money Florida
I made an ATM check deposit of $24.00 but Chase bank made a mistake and reported it as $920.00 on -/-/15. They corrected their mistake on -/-/15 2 months later and debited $900.00 from my account without my knowledge or notice and over drafted my account. I made a car payment online on -/-/15 and - received that payment on -/-/15 before Chase decided to correct their error on -/-/15. Chase then decided to return the payment from - and disregard my car payment that was processed before their adjustment. I think this is illegal and ridiculous that a bank would process a transaction to benefit and correct their mistake. Transactions should happen in chronological order not when Chase feels like honoring and online transaction. They should be responsible for their mistakes and not penalize their consumers for their negligence. My car payment should have been processed because there were sufficient funds in my account at the time the transaction was made. Chase should be responsible for honoring my car payment and take care of any fees assessed to me by -. Transactions should be placed in chronological order.
