-/-/- my husband and I took an auto loan from Regional Acceptance Corp for a - Ford Escape. In -/-/- the vehicle was totaled in a car accident that was not my fault. At this time we were still making our monthly payments of $370.00. Our insurance company, -, required a payoff amount from them and -/-/- sent a check to them for $6600.00 to pay off the vehicle. We are now buying a house and found out that they have been reporting us late to the credit bureau every month since then stating that we still owe them $3700.00. I have been calling them to discuss this 4 times a day everyday for the past week. I can not get anyone to answer the phone and I have left over - messages and have not received a call back at all! This false debt is the only thing standing in the way of my husband and I being approved for an FHA mortgage to buy our home. I do n't know what to do now. I have had nothing but problems with them since we acquired our loan -/-/- and I have read nothing but negative reviews about them concerning all of the same problems as we are having!!! Please help!!!
