JPMorgan Chase Bank Account Or Service Complaint

Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low

JPMorgan Chase Bank account or service department,

Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low Georgia

I have a checking account with Chase Bank. They have deceptive ways of showing my available balance. Sometimes all of my pending charges are subtracted from my available balance. But sometimes a pending transaction will appear on my list of transactions, but will NOT have been subtracted from my available balance. Such that, I believe that including all my pending transactions, I have enough money in my account to cover everything. But then my account can become overdrawn, because my available balance was actually lower than what the bank represented it as being. Then they are able to charge me an overdraft fee. I understand that I have a responsibility to keep my own ledger of my transactions, but frankly, that 's why I have a modern, online banking account, so that it can do it for me. If I simply take a cursory look at my account balance, and see that a charge is listed in my pending transactions, I assume that it is reflected in, and has been deducted from, my available balance. Especially if I have - pending transactions, which is very common considering how often I use my debit card. Because in the columns where it displays the withdrawal/deposit/balance for each item, if a transaction is pending, it does n't show you the balance column. So unless I add up all - transactions and compare that to the actual available balance, I would n't know that I did n't have enough money to cover my account. It 's just misleading. I have been charged $10.00 overdraft fees twice now, which is n't an exorbitant amount, but it 's the principle of the thing.
