We 've had a PayPal account for years and years. In -/-/-, however, Paypal pulled our credit report and converted our standard PayPal account to a revolving credit account. We were unaware of the change, so when we thought we were making a conventional PayPal transaction on our existing account, it charged this new line of credit. Making it worse, we then got no statement in the mail, so did n't know we had n't received a bill for this account we did n't know we had. Learned of the new account- and missed first payment! - only when applying for a mortgage. Called PayPal- they refunded the late fee but now I have a black mark on my record.
