I had a Capital One Secured -. The - was opened -/-/-. I put down a $150.00 - - towards the secured card. As of -/-/- I was 120 days late and owed $160.00 by -/-/-. Without any notice Capital One applied my security deposit towards the balance of my account -/-/- On - I logged into my online account and made the required minimum payment due of $160.00. Capital One did not tell me my account was closed or that the security deposit was applied to the balance. As of -/-/- the balance was -. Capital One sold this account to - - -. I have disputed this debt with Capital One, -, and all three credit reporting agencies. They all respond that the debt has been verified pursuant to FCRA and is correctly reporting. My credit report incorrectly states the balance on this account is - when it was -. This account was closed by Capital One and Not at my request and while the account had been brought into good standing. They are incorrectly reporting that in -/-/- I was 150 days late when in -/-/- I made the minimum payment due of - on - five days before the due date of -. The Account was charged off in -/-/- despite the fact the account was brought current in -/-/-. Capital One - refuse to correct any of these egregious errors. All - credit reporting agencies also have the proof of this account status and refuse to correct the account.
