Cooper Hoffman Klein Associates Debt collection department,

Taking/threatening an illegal action Threatened arrest/jail if do not pay Michigan

Have been recieving threatening and rude phone calls saying I owe money on a payday loan that I know nothing about. Said they would put criminal and civil charges on me if I did not cooperate and pay. I told the man I would not pay money until I received a notice in the mail in which I then have 30 days to decide what I want to do. He got very upset about me saying that and said he would add a request to get my license suspended on top of the criminal and civil charges. A few hours later I received a call from the number of the county clerks office and it was a man stating they had received paperwork on my case and I had 24 hours to work things out with cooper hoffman and klein or they would be serving me papers to appear in court. I then called the county clerks office and they told me they had not received anything and there are no males working in their office. Obviously it was a fake call. These people are low life scammers trying to take our hard earned money. They need real jobs instead of trying to take the money I worked my - off for. -.
