I had to short sale my home which involved a - mortgage and a - mortgage. The sale finalized on - 2011. The - mortgage shows the loan paid and cleared on my credit report as of - 2011. Citibank, who held the - mortgage, is still showing the - mortgage as currently late on my credit report. I have spoken to Citibank and have sent them THEIR paperwork that shows they accepted payment but I have only received a letter back from them asking that they can not do further research until I pull my credit and give them a detailed explanation. I have spoken to - representatives who have told me they will take care of this and still I am waiting. I need this cleared so I can complete the purchase on my new home.
