I recently paid down all of my Chase credit cards to improve my credit score by lowering my utilization rate on my available credit. Two days after I made the payments to bring my utilization down below 30 %, Chase lowered my available credit from $25000.00 to $2500.00 thus making my balance at 100 % of credit and creating virtually no availability. This also would have seriously damaged my credit score.
