I recently applied for and received a Barclay credit card. I have been using the card and paying, never late with any issues. This card currently has a - balance. I was shopping for a new computer and happened to be on the - website. I decided to apply for credit to complete my purchase, my application was declined. A few days later, I received a letter in the mail from Barclay card stating they we 're unable to approve my application due to a past charged off account, they also informed me that they did n't run my credit to make this decision. I feel that they extended credit previously with the open credit card I have and that they made an error by denying me credit without reviewing my current credit history, instead they judged me on something from almost 10 years ago. This in an unfair denial of credit from this company.
