I have a loan with a loan company named One Main Financial. I have been paying this loan for about 3 years, since the interest rate is so high I am only reaching the halfway point of the loan amount. I want to do a balance transfer to lower my interest rate so I can pay the loan off faster ; however, when I called the loan company to complete the balance transfer they did not allow me to complete it. I believe that they are not allowing me to complete the balance transfer so they can keep me at high interest rate. I have paid them about - in the time since I got the loan. The amount I already have paid is more than what the original amount of the loan was, and i still have a balance of over $1600.00, and my current interest rate is not printed on my monthly statement. I feel this company is being unethical because i am trying to help my situation to get out of out debt by lowering my interest rate and they do not allow me to a credit card balance transfer that would allow me to pay it at a 0 % interest rate.
