I initiated a phone call the ATG credit to resolve a debt. They explained to me on - occasions that they would be recording the phone calls. I expressed to them that I too was recording the phone call for my purposes. They immediately got angered and told me that according to the FDCPA I was NOT allowed to record them. I tried to explain to them that the Federal law states that one-party phone calls are authorized by federal law and they hung up on me. I have also just filed a complaint with the - minutes before this complaint. If they wo n't communicate with me and they will not send me the documents how am I supposed to resolve this debt? They would not send me any documents because they claim they already did. I explained that i have not received them. I asked for E-mails but they will not send them unless they have a credit card number or back check number.
