Payday loan Improper contact or sharing of info Contacted employer after asked not to California
In - of 2014, a debt collector working under STP attempted to contact me at work. When I spoke to them during work hours, the rep told me that if I chose to not take care of the debt today that they would send someone to pick me up that day and proceeded to ask if my mother ( and asked about her name ) would be home that they would be waiting there too. I spoke to a supervisor at that time and she took my card information down so that they can retrieve the funds. I received a call from my father today claiming someone called him on his cellular phone, which I never provided. I call the number ( - ) - and the rep I spoke to was from a law firm that STP hired to settle this matter in court and that I never finalized payment. I agreed to pay off the debt on the phone in payments. I look up the number after the conversation and it is a debt collector. The way they contacted me, my workplace and my father was not right.
