I wrote a check for $700.00 for rent to my landlord ( - - ) at the beginning of -. After my landlord mobile deposited the check, it came into his account as per usual. However, a few days later, someone stole the check, cashed it, and the money was deducted back out of my landlord 's account. So, my check was stolen and my money was stolen. I reported the claim immediately after we found out to my bank ( Wells Fargo ) and he reported it to his bank ( - - - ). However, both banks REFUSE to reimburse me the $700.00 that was stolen from me. When asked why the banks wo n't refund us, they both refer us to the other bank, therefore the issue is just being passed back and forth between the banks and again, I AM NOT BEING REFUNDED for money that was stolen from me. Because of their refusal, I am out $700.00 and this is unacceptable.
