Credit monitoring or identity protection Account terms and changes New York
I logged into the Experian site to review my credit report. They offered to see my FICO score an credit report for a $1.00 fee, that i paid. I was unaware this fee was a 7 day trail membership and if i did not cancel the trail within the 7 days i would be billed $23.00. The amount was charged on Saturday -/-/- i called them on Monday, -/-/- at - -. i was informed they do not issue refunds and but would cancel my subscription for any future billing. I can get my - and - credit report and FICO score for free at any time so to pay $23.00 a month for this is something i would never have done. i only wanted to see my credit report and score to compare versus the other - and see if the same inaccuracies i found on them were on their site as well. .If they want to charge me $1.00 for this service and then ask me if i would like to pay the fee after the initial time that would be fine but to charge you to get your FICO score and make it a trial membership so you are actual paying almost $25.00 for this info is deceitful. Integrity is paramount for anyone that is managing peoples credit and they have clearly shown a lack of it.
