I owned a property - - - - -- PA for may years and had it rented. During these years I paid the required housing permit fees and business privilege taxes on my rental receipts. In - I sold the property on a long term agreement of sale and notified the city that the property was sold. They reviewed the contract ( for a fee ) and approved the sale and understood it was no longer a rental property and I would no longer be required to pay these fees. In - I received a letter - indicating that I had not paid privilege tax or permit fees since - and issued a bill which included past fees and penalties. I reminded them of the letter which they issued to me in - and provided it to them. All of this was done in the same department -, but with different employees. I spoke with everyone, except the Solicitor - who did not return my calls or emails ) and was told


credit has been damaged badly and I seem to have no recourse. I settled on the property after the buyer made his last payment at the end of -, but I still am fighting - on this. Attached is the letters -/-/- exempting me from the fees, the letter -/-/- trying to collect past fees, the statements from the collection agency, the most recent letters from the collection agency and - indicating that I still owe the fees, and a page on my credit report showing the collection and my otherwise perfect credit. This has cased me great harm, I can not get the same rates or credit that I should be entitled to. Please help me with this problem. Thank you, - -
