I took out a - interest credit card through Wells Fargo to purchase an engagement ring for my fiance in -. I paid off the ring and had a zero balance as of - -. I also purchased our wedding bands with this Wells Fargo credit card in - -. I never once missed a payment and over paid the minimum payment every time. As of - - my balance was $630.00 when I received a bill of $1300.00, with a charge of $720.00 in interest charges. I immediately tried to contact Wells Fargo and when I called the - time was placed on hold for over an hour and then transferred to a woman who would not help me. I tried to call back - more times to get in touch with someone who could help me to sort this out. Finally I went to the Wells Fargo branch on - in -, PA and I was told they have nothing to do with credit card services. The next day I went into the Wells Fargo branch on - and - and again no one could help. I tried to explain both over the phone and in person I


been notified I would have immediately paid the balance. After numerous attempts to contact Wells Fargo with no success I had no choice but remit total payment of $1300.00 ( cc remaining balance - $630.00 + interest- $720.00 ). I still can not believe a credit card company could charge more in interest than your balance and not notify you that you are going to be charged. If I had known I would have paid the remaining balance off immediately. It was very frustrating that I could not contact anyone at Wells Fargo to dispute these charges. Again I never missed a payment and overpaid every month. I think Wells Fargo has taken advantage of me and forced me into a $720.00 interest payment without warning me this was a possibility or that the - interest terms would be ending.
