Other bank product/service Making/receiving payments, sending money Oklahoma
In -/-/-, I went to the Bank of the West - to secure a business loan for opening a new private practice. Although my practice was already open and I had some money -, the bank said it was n't enough and needed personal collateral to secure the loan. This was an interest only loan, and a revolving account attached to my employee LLC ID and not my SS #. After a couple of years I started paying back more than just interest. In -/-/- I got a job offer with the government that was too good to be true, so I closed my practice and moved. I also closed the bank account that had autodebit for payment on this loan and contacted - - on several occassions to get the auto debit linked to another account. He never returned my calls and they continued trying to pull money from a closed account for the next 90 days which caused additional fees for overdrafts, past due payments, and credit problems. I started paying them by check because they would not allow me to pay more than the interest if I set up autodebit again. Over the last two years, I
much I had in mind. I said around $12000.00. - - and someone named - said they would check. - called me back and said that because I did n't pay any principle on the loan in the beginning, I no longer had the revolving status and they were not willing to work with me. Today, I received documents in the mail stating that they had pulled my credit report ( WITHOUT MY PERMISSION ) and said my credit score was too low according to -. This is rediculous because I 'm currently - getting a home loan and if they would have asked for a personal credit report I would have told them NO because that could mess up my credit rating. I called -. He said he had notes from - saying I wanted to apply for a new loan of $12000.00 and that is why they pulled my credit report. I told him I did n't care what the notes said I NEVER gave anyone permission to pull that report nor did I apply for a loan. I already had a loan. I merely inquired as to whether I could still use it as a revolving account since they still had a lein on my property. In addition, I asked him when they changed the terms of the original loan agreement because I was n't informed of those changes and - could not answer me. These practices should be illegal. I have had nothing but problems from this bank and I wish for you to investigate their practices. Thank you.
