Citibank Credit card department,
I attempted to access my account at Citi.com so that I could pay my balance. I have n't used the card in a while and could not remember my password. Their online password reset sequence asked for my full credit card number, the security code, and answers to my security questions. I could not remember the answers to my security questions. I called them and spoke to a representative. He asked me for all the same information and then told me he could not reset my password unless I could answer the security questions. Typically, prior to this point, I am offered the option to email me a password reset link. He said that was not possible. I finally asked him to send me a paper bill so that I could pay my balance. He again asked for my personal data. I am concerned about identity theft, since I gave them the PAN and security code at least - times ( - online and - on the phone ). Also, not being able to access my account electronically at all is bad business and unacceptable to me. 1. Should I be concerned about this? 2. How will my FICO score be affected if I cancel this card? Thank you very much. Regards, - - --
