I sell - online for payment with paypal. I follow strict customerId and - procedures. I had a customer buying large amounts of - from - through - 2015. We collected multiple selfie with id pictures. This customer claimed on - - that her identity was stolen. She made a claim to paypal that her identity was stolen and after looking at all the customer identification, and her ip address, and useragent all matched her pc and iphone, PayPal determined there was near - probability that her identity had been stolen. PayPal initialy refused the claim of unauthorized transactions. After a week though, paypal now claims that her bank did reversalson all $1800.00 that she spent. PayPal want me to pay this. I have asked PayPal for futher information to assist with filing a police report but paypal wo n't provide any. I do n't think I should have to pay paypalback if they wo n't provide further information for me to provide to law enforcement agencies. Paypal says that I 'm not protected because - is not physical goods, but it is also not the same as music, videos, or software. If the product is stolen, I amout nearly 100 % of the cost unlike music, videos, or software that are only copies. Also every single sale was sold using - which DOES PROVIDE TRACKING and proof that the customer recieved the merchandise. Yes, the seller should be liable under some circumstances, but I feel given the massive evidence of fraud on the customer 's part here that paypal should do something more.
