Equifax consistently has false and outdated information and their online dispute resolution kicks you off automatically if your computer refreshes the page. It then locks you out of your account unless you fax them information. In this day and age, faxing is a rather significant hardship for most people, since almost no one has access to a fax machine. I believe this is to make it intentionally difficult to call them to account. Furthermore, they provide a number to get priority access to a live customer agent '' when in fact it is simply an automated line to send you a hard copy of your report that can not be used for any other purpose. Their everything seems designed to simply make you give up. Where is the accountability?
