*There was no specific category for my complaint issue. The selected category was the closest topic to the subject of my complaint issue*I have a Security Credit Freeze on my credit report with all three credit reporting agencies ( Equifax, - and - ) . Recently ( - -, 2015 ) I requested to temporarily remove the security freeze from my credit report with the aforementioned - agencies. - and - were successful and processed my request. However, Equifax requested that I submit, via mail, additional identifying information. I complied, via certified mail, on - -, 2015. This request from Equifax for me to provide additional identifying information also previously occurred on - -, 2015, in which I complied with their request on that occasion also, via certified mail. The issue is that on both occasions Equifax provides inaccurate information on their website to consumers ( and myself ), regarding the mailing address of where to send consumer documents. The address provided on Equifax website is : - -. - -, -, GA -. This city and zip code do not logically correspond, as affirmed by the United States Postal Service. This can lead to consumers sending sensitive identifying documents,

for consumers to send their identifying documents when removing a credit freeze, when the task can not be completed online on the Equifax website. This incorrect address has been provided to me on both occasions that I attempted to temporarily remove the security credit freeze from my consumer account. On both occasions, the United States Postal Service corrected the gaffe '' and provided me with the correct address before sending my articles. On both occasions, due to the diligence and correction of the United States Postal Service and not Equifax, my articles have reached their destination ( Equifax ) safely and successfully. However, this mishap should never occur when dealing with a credit reporting agency, like Equifax. The previous city and zip code that Equifax advertises and associates with mailing has been corroborated by the United States Postal Service as being -, GA for the zip code of -, and is an incorrect mailing address for that address. The correct address accepted and provided by the United States Postal Service for Equifax is : - - -, -, GA -. This is corroborated and is currently in the database of USPS for Equifax address. I contacted Equifax via telephone to alert them about this mishap, however, an Equifax representative informed me that she could not change what is currently advertised and advised to consumers on their website because the Equifax Security Freeze department for this part of their website is not manned '' or represented by a person that can answer questions about issues and/or correct issues like these. I respectfully request the CFPB to become involved to correct and investigate this issue for credit consumers and myself, - - -. Thank you.
