I have a Wells Fargo student loan that went into collections years ago. I have been on a payment plan with them for several years now paying $350.00 a month. The statements I receive just state thank you for scheduling your payment in advance and when it will be withdrawn - with no balance etc. The last payment was made on - - and paid the loan in full. I have spoken several times with Wells at - who verify the debt has been paid off..I have asked for a letter they said it could take several months and they are waiting on an attorney. I never received a letter that it was paid off - I happened to call to see what the balance was ... I called the attorneys office at - and they said they have no instructions on this and referred me back to Wells Fargo. I feel like I am getting the run around and if the debt is paid in full I would like that represented on my credit report. I tried disputing through all - bureaus and it is still registering a - balance and still in charge off status. When I called to ask why Wells is saying until they get paperwork from attorney ( which I have mentioned knows noting about this ) they can not show a - balance..If it is paid in full in -/-/- why cant I get this updated now?
