My bank, Chase, did not process debit card purchases/checks in the order in which they were received, and also waited an unreasonable amount of time to debit my account for several purchases. The result of this was an overdrawing of my account. For example, I wrote my girlfriend a check for $630.00 as my share of rent. She deposited this check on the - of -, and my account was not debited until the - of -. I ordered checks on the - of - - noticing I was out after writing one for my girlfriend ) and my account was not debited until the - of -. Meanwhile, all purchases I made using my debit card were immediately processed. This delay of processing checks and account fees - IE ordering checks - while immediately processing debit card payments has resulted in an overdrawing of my account. As an example of delays in processing debits to my account, you will see on my statement an $80.00 ATM withdrawal, which is described in the statement as ATM WITHDRAWAL - - - '' indicating that I made the withdrawal on - -. On my statement, this is not debited from my account until the -.
