JPMorgan Chase Bank account or service department,

Checking account Problems caused by my funds being low California

My account is overdrawn because it has overdraft protection and a surprise renewal was processed when the account was overdrawn. When I asked chase to remove the overdraft protection I was told that it would not prevent checks and/or debit transactions from posting to the account when it is already overdrawn. Seriously, do n't I have more control over my own account than that? If my account is overdrawn I do NOT want anything else paid until I get the account back in the black.
