My husband and I purchased a gym membership with - - in -/-/-. The gym went out of business on or around -/-/- without any notice. The gym reopened under a completely different name ( - ) and ownership. - - charges a monthly membership of $20.00 per member per month.. I requested to dispute the charge for the remaining gym membership worth $520.00 and - training sessions worth $180.00. I received a call from Wells Fargo dispute department last week advising my dispute was denied by VISA because the gym services are available at the same location and because - - reopened the location and agreed to honor my previous gym membership. As a consumer I do n't think I should be forced to belong to a gym that I did not sign up with.
