The loan is through Wells Fargo. I am the co-signer. My son has been under employed or unemployed for nearly 3 years. As the co-signer, I am keeping the loan current. However, I have asked Wells numerous times to send me a billing, allow me access via on line or something so that I know what is due and when. They say I need to have the primary account holder change the address or take other steps. They acknowledge that my obligation is not activated until it is past due. However, they call me when the account goes 10 or 14 days past due and then hit me with a $ - $30.00 late fee. It seems unfair that due to their system limitations and/or unwillingness to get me timely information, I get stuck with a late fee. They also have informed me that as of the end of every month they report to credit agencies. Based on that information, that means they are regularly showing a negative impact of my credit rating. I am the only thing standing between Wells Fargo and a charge off yet I get negative comments on my credit report and hit with late fees. Does this seem reasonable?
