Per a credit report pulled in - and disputed several accounts listed with all - credit agencies, as the accounts were not even mine. Discover Card Account -, - Account - and - - - Account -. All - of these accounts belonged to a different - -. Additionally, there was no social security number on file for - of them, and there was also an invalid address attached to my credit reports for the state of Virginia and I have never lived outside of the state of Iowa in the - years of my existence. When calling Discover the representative told me in - that name on file was for a - - -, that there was NO social security number captured from that person for the account AND when reporting the credit situation, they did n't know where to attach it so they put it on mine. These - companies have attached information for someone named - - to my account since -, which has impeded my ability to secure fair interest rates or even securing loans to purchase vehicles or a home. Lastly all - of these companies informed me when calling in - that my social security number was not even in their system, and upon formally disputing these items with the - credit reporting agencies, it took over - years and more than - attempt to get these items removed from my credit report. In -, I was refused a car loan, in - I secured a car loan for a rate of 10.75 % interest, in - and - I was refused home loans when attempting to purchase and as a result was required to relocate myself and my children - times in - months shortly after their father passed away.
