The company filed a report against my credit without contacting me. When I contacted the company to see why they had filed a report against my credit without contacting me they stated I had given false information about myself. As I had never given any information on the debt as it was not mine ( it was a mistake from - ). When I asked them to give me the information that led them to file the report against my credit they refused. They stated I had provided fraudulent material to - and it was my responsibility to give a phone number and address I never gave any of that information to anyone as it was not my debt. They stated that I must contact -. Only through them could I contest the charge. The company never contacted me and filed a resolution against my credit score and never provided any information to me on why they did this. They refused to help me at all when I explained their numerous mistakes in contact information ( that I had never provided as the initial company made the mistake ). - worked to resolve this quickly. The debt collection agency said it was all my responsibility for THEIR mistake. They have kept the mark on my credit report even though I never had an opportunity to respond as they had wrong information and never contacted me to allow me to dispute their claim.
