I filed Chapter - Bankruptcy in - of - and it was discharged in - -. My husband - and we incurred over $200000.00 in - debt after the BK discharge and then in - - I was laid off of my job. I obtained a new job very recently and when Seterus took my mortgage over ( - payments due ) I told them after they called me relentlessly that I was a discharge BK and I had NOT reaffirmed the debt. So I explained that they can not call me like this. However I did tell them that I wanted to work something out. But they said I needed a months worth of paystubs. I told them I would n't have that until - at which time I would send in the workout package and begin the process. However they seem to ignore the laws regarding bankruptcy and continue to call me several times a day trying to collect payments. I understand they are a new servicer but that is why I informed them on DAY - that I was a discharge BK so that they knew they were not allowed to call me like this. I have had enough and am seeking legal counsel at this point because apparently Seterus feels they are above the law.
