GE Capital Retail Credit card department,
I received - phone calls today between the hours of - and - from Synchrony bank in regards to a debt on my account. I was not award of the debt owed as they had an old e-mail address and I elected not to receive paper payments. ( I only used the card - and must have forgotten that I did not sign up for autopay on the account ). I picked up on the - attempt at - and paid the bill and updated my email address. When I asked if I could request not to be called as frequently next time I was told that they can not control the amount of times I am called as the account is called via an auto-dialer system. I said that it was abusive to be called this many times in one day on my cell phone. They said I could talk to customer service if I would like, but I declined the opportunity as I was hoping to present my issue here. I did not provide express prior consent to be called on my cell phone. The account was purchased by Synchrony Bank about a year ago and at that time, not request for consent to call was provided to me.
