Wells Fargo Credit card department,
I purchased a memory foam bed through - - on -/-/- because they offer no interest financing for 2 years ( or even longer, but we opted for 2 years ). Not surprisingly, this offer is still listed on their website, here : -However, this offer is serviced by Wells Fargo and they are refusing to honor the terms of this agreement. Wells Fargo started charging me interest on roughly half of the remaining balance starting in -/-/- ( which is 14 months after the purchase ). When I called Wells Fargo customer service, the rude representative told me that I signed '' an agreement saying that the no interest period was 12 months. That is n't mentioned in the agreement I signed. According to my records I did not sign any such thing. Unless they can furnish the document, then it did n't happen. Also, if the representatives story was actually true, why would interest charges only apply to a fraction of the remaining balance and not the full balance? Also why would it start to happen 14 months later instead of 12? I have n't used the credit to buy anything besides my bed and pillows. Somewhere a mistake has been made. Wells Fargo should not charge interest until - - as per their agreement! Which they are not honoring. So far I have accumulated $330.00 of erroneous interest charges according to the statement on -/-/-.
