Credit monitoring or identity protection Account terms and changes Maryland
On - -, I ordered a --bureau credit report online for $1.00 from CreditCheckTotal.com ; as a part of the ordering process I provided my personal information and payment details to process $1.00. There was an offer for monthly services which would cost $ -/month, I did not select this serivce. On - -, my account was debited by Experian for $29.00. I called to inquire and was directed to Credit Check Total requesting that my account be refunded for the $29.00 as I did NOT authorize any deductions nor did I agree to any memberships. I spoke with - associates and - supervisors and was told that they would cancel my 'membership ' but they would not be able to refund my money. Even after expressing my frustration and my concern regarding their tactics, which I feel are manipulative and evasive ; no one would honor my request to have my money refunded. I also sent an email to the customer relations departments for both Credit Check Total and Experian. Credit Check Total 's response was that they could not refund the money that was taken but that my account was now closed. This company does not care that a consumer feels misled by their advertisment, all they care about is collecting $29.00 from as many people as they caan. I am very upset over this and from now reading reviews from other victims, it is clear that this company is strong-arming consumers and taking our money. Credit Check Total is a poor representation and their only goal is to profit from comsumers using manipulative tactics.
