I had a FirstUSA credit card for a very long time. Somehow in - or - -, Chase took over and issued my credit card statement without giving me a notice. I have never received a chase credit card and the customer service claimed that after Chase and FirstUSA merged, they tried to send me a card but was returned. Chase charged me interest about $ 50- $60.00 a month from - - until today. In - -, I sent out $1000.00 payment so my balance reduced to $3300.00 in -. After this - statement, I did NOT receive any account statements. Instead, Chase sent me a letter saying that I authorized them to deduct $ 100 monthly out of my - Bank account from - -. I do NOT recall that I have ever given such authorization and Chase bank refused to provide any form or proof. Moreover, after the allegedly end month of the authorization in -, Chase continuously cease $ - $60.00 a month without giving me any statement or notification. I found out about this in - - and I stop - Bank from making any further payment. Chase bank customer service team start calling me on Saturday morning and keep sending me mails about the returned payment, but still did NOT provide any statements or authorization form that I requested long ago. Chase failed to notify me that they were taking over FirstUSA 's credit card business. Chase claimed that they could not mail me the card because they do not have my address, but they can send me all the debt collection related mail to the same address without any problems. Chase failed to prove that I have authorized payment between - -. Chase failed to provide account statement and failed to notify me the remaining amount of my debt, which cost me additional interest over these year.
