December 1, 2015 - I went online to sign up for a Chase Freedom credit card. During the process I was asked if I would like any additional cards on my account. I said " yes '' - and requested an additional card for my daughter ( to use in case of emergency ). I received the cards then my daughter comes to me shortly thereafter and said that her credit score dropped almost - points due to this Chase credit card. May 8, 2015 - Chase Bank is asking their credit card holders to fill out an authorization to release their SSN to Chase along with a - form. They claim it 's in the name of identity theft protection. Failure to do so will cause the account to be closed. No other credit card company is asking for this and the mere act of mailing it puts my data at risk.
