After finding out they were a debt collector, and due to the fact that I know that I don't owe anyone anything, I called them back to see what the problem was. They were looking for someone ( some - ) who only shared a last name with me, and I had no idea who they were. They apologized and said they would take my number off of the list. Debt collection communication tactics frequent or repeated calls July 14, 2016 - I have been receiving a phone call that leaves a voicemail that is as follows : - Voicemail We have an important message from Eastern account system. This is a call from a debt collector. Please call -. Upon calling this number, it went straight to voicemail. The last two times I picked up when this number called, I asked the caller to identify why they were calling and what the call was in regards to.
