MoneyGram Bank account or service making/receiving payments, sending money June 11, 2015 - I received a money order from a tenant and misplaced it for over one year, but it was not three years old. It was purchased through Money Gram Money orders. Money Gram claims that it is no longer any good and needs to be reissued for a large fee. I understand that a money order in the state of Texas is not abandoned unless it three years old from the date of purchase under the Texas Property Code, Chapter 72 Sub chapter B page 4. It appears that Money order companies makes the own rules and regulation that does not coincide with state and federal laws to rip off consumers because of misfortune... |
