The debt is made up entirely of penalties and fees as the principal balance was paid to the original creditor in -/-/-, prior to being made aware that any collection agency was involved. According to the agency, the debt consists of late fees and penalties that have been accruing since -/-/-. My complaint is I have never received any correspondence from the Department of Revenue regarding any delinquent taxes for the years indicated in the demand letter sent by this law firm/collection agency.
