I noticed a new account in collections on my TransUnion credit report. The account originated from a - company ( - - - ), and I can not find a reasonable way to contact them. The alleged debt is for a sum of $3800.00, and I'm not sure what this debt could even be for. I have received no notifications of this accounts existence, or of any debts prior to the collections account. This company appears to own - U.S., of which I am a customer. I have never gone delinquent on a payment to -. I am unsure of the correlation between my telephone provider and this fraudulent account. I believe this account was born of identify theft, though my dispute through TransUnion resulted in no action taken. I do not know what supporting documentation I am meant to submit if I have no knowledge of this debt in the first place, with the exception of a derogatory mark on my credit report. Currently, the account seems to be in the possession of a collections company by the name of - - - - -.
